The Three Ps of Covid in 2020 – Planned, Prepared, Positive.

As we live through the crisis of generation there is no doubt that life looks different in many ways. New things have made their way into our everyday vernacular – “social distancing”, N95 facemasks, sanitizing process, etc. Making a reservation for dinner has been pretty much calling yourself and asking what time is available for a seat at your dining room table. Going for a “ride” in the evening is once again a fashionable activity – I JUST NEED TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!

As things start to “normalize” and as we grow accustom to the new way of life Covid 19 has brought, we are asking “what’s next”? While no one’s crystal ball can predict what’s next, we can decide how we are going to act as the future comes our way.

First and foremost, BE KIND – be kind to others and be kind to yourself. Make sure you extend a hand to those who need the help and that you “give yourself a break” – none of us are prefect – but be the best you can be.

Enjoy the good things that have come from these unsettled times, including having more time to spend with your family, regular dinners – at the dinner table! Time to read that book that’s been on your nightstand, learn that new skill that might advance your career, help someone else! There are a lot of things that are positive – focus on those and try to let the negative go!

There will be life after Covid! Things will settle in to the new normal, with or without covid. Make sure you are ready for tomorrow.

Planned: plan for tomorrow – plan your goals for tomorrow. Decide how you want your life to be different post Covid.

Prepared: Planning without preparation is just a dream! Once you have your plan in place make sure you’re prepared to execute your plan. Also, be prepared to change and adjust. Nothing ever happens the EXACT way you planned.

Positive: Stay positive! Climbing a mountain is always more difficult if you tell yourself how difficult it is to make it to the top….you are much better off telling yourself – It will be difficult, but I can and will make it! The power of positive thinking is immeasurable.

Today is just a moment in time……tomorrow is on the horizon! Stay well, Stay safe!
